Within the health and medical care administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are gathered in a common administration and organized into regional and local healthcare areas. The local healthcare area of Skellefteå includes the Emergency Department, Center for Surgical Operations, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, Center for Surgical Operations, and primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these aim to provide good and accessible care.

The Psychiatric Clinic in Skellefteå is a specialist care clinic with about 250 employees who assess and treat patients with moderate to severe psychiatric conditions with moderate to extreme functional impairment. The care includes both outpatient and inpatient care, voluntarily as well as under compulsory care legislation (LPT, LRV, certain interventions under LVM). The clinic's goal and mission are to conduct all operations based on national guidelines, care and intervention programs, and knowledge bases presented via.

The leadership of psychiatry consists of a clinic manager, a deputy clinic manager, and seven department heads. You will have close collaboration with your fellow managers, creating good conditions for rewarding collaborations and valuable collegial support.

As the Department Head for Ward 2, you lead your employees based on the clinic's common goals. You challenge and develop while encouraging and highlighting your employees. In the role of department head, you will have personnel and work environment responsibility, employee conversations, salary discussions, recruitment, and staffing. You plan, lead, and drive the operations forward in accordance with the agreed goals and assignments. Together with employees and fellow managers, you contribute to the whole and are active in the clinic's development work. Internal collaboration within clinics is common, and it is also common to collaborate with other units within the region and other stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who has initiative and is good at prioritizing and quickly switching between different tasks based on the operations and the needs of the employees. Having order and structure is important in this role. You are diplomatic and skilled at communicating in a pedagogical manner. You create a good work environment through participation and close collaboration with employees and colleagues, building relationships and creating trust.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree or equivalent competence acquired through education and experience that the employer deems relevant for the assignment. You should also have managerial or leadership experience. Good knowledge of Swedish, fluent. We would also like you to have experience from the health and medical care sector.

It is advantageous if you have managerial training, education in psychiatry, work experience in a managerial position, and work experience from psychiatric care. Basic knowledge of software such as Office, experience in handling care, journal, and personnel systems.

To succeed in the role of department head, you are someone who values routines and predictability and works long-term and strategically in a supportive and collaborative manner.

The assignment as a manager within Region Västerbotten is a fixed-term appointment usually lasting 4 years, combined with a permanent position within your area of expertise.
